The homeowner proceeds with reparations separately from the closing process. Once the closing process is complete and the funds have been received from a home/property sale, the homeowner can proceed with reparations.
Determine Your Pledge Amount
Calculate 1% of your home's sale price. For example, 1% (or more) of $525,000 is $5,250.
Identify the Indigenous Community you Pledged to

Mail Your Reparation
Write a check to the territory for the calculated amount and mail it directly to them. Please include the letter of explanation you received in your confirmation email.
