You've Sold Your Home, Now What?
The homeowner proceeds with reparations separately from the closing process. Once the closing process is complete and the funds have been received from a home/property sale, the homeowner can proceed with reparations.
Determine Your Pledge Amount
Calculate 1% of your home's sale price. For example, 1% (or more) of $525,000 is $5,250.
Identify the Indigenous community you pledged to
This is the indigenous group that you chose when you made your pledge. It will also be in the confirmation email you received when you made the pledge. If you have any questions, please email MareNLRP@gmail.com for assistance.
Mail the donation
Write a check to the territory for the calculated amount and mail it directly to them. Please include the letter of explanation you received in your confirmation email.
